Don’t miss the Chocolate Festival of Belize!! This seven-night package is sure to have your soul melting like good chocolate. The Chocolate Festival of Belize dates are May 24 thru 26, 2019, so your travel dates can be somewhat flexible around these three days. You will enjoy a true cultured experience of the Toledo District in Belize. In addition to basking in all things chocolate you will explore the sea while snorkeling with the chef at Copal Tree Lodge, taking a swim in the Hokeb Ha Cave (aka – Blue Creek Cave), hiking around some Maya ruins at Lubaantun, and even making your own chocolate bar. To help yourself relax from all the activity you can book yourself a spa treatment at Copal Tree Lodge. You can also enjoy many of the free amenities at Copal Tree Lodge such as kayaking, canoeing, going to the gym, mountain biking, and hiking. Do not forget to save some time to visit the famous Maya Bags. You will book your own international air ticket into Belize, and we’ll take it from there!

Chocolate Festival Activities are three days and include:
-Wine and Chocolate Night (Friday 7:00 pm – 11:30 pm) with wine, Belizean chocolate, fine food, Travellers Liquor Rum, and live music.
-Taste of Toledo Street Fair (Saturday 10:00 am – 6:00 pm) with music, dance, arts and crafts, chocolate, and even a bartending competition for the best Belizean Chocolate Cocktail.
-Grand Finale (Sunday 10:00 am – 4:00 pm) – Cultured Fusion at its best. See many Mayan dances and rituals.

-Snorkel with the Chef -
-Bean to Bar Chocolate Class – a very unique opportunity of understand and participate in the entire process of transforming high quality organic cacao into chocolate.
-Blue Creek Village, a swim in the Hokeb Ha Cave and Lubaantun Maya ruins. Lubaantun dates back to the Maya Classic Era and flourished from AD 730 to AD 890. Lubaantun’s distinguishing features are its unusual rounded edge black slate rock architecture laid without mortar. Following the ruins tour you will be taken to the authentic Maya Village of Blue Creek where a traditional Maya family will host you for lunch and you can even try your hand at making corn tortillas. Then a short hike through the jungle besides a pristine river leads to the immense opening of Hokeb Ha Cave where you will take a swim.
