If you truly want to get away from it all and immerse yourself in beach life and culture this four-night beach package at Almond Beach Resort in Hopkins Village, Belize is just for you! Known as a haven for romance and wellness, Almond Beach, sits amidst a pristine tropical setting on a five-mile stretch of sandy beach and a short distance from the Garifuna Fishing Village of Hopkins. You will be able to experience the Garifuna culture first-hand. The Garifuna ancestry is traced back to West Africa and indigenous Arawak people. According to legend, the first Garifuna arrived in Belize on November 19, 1802. Today this unique culture heritage is preserved and passed on through music (lots of fun drumming!), dance, storytelling, language, traditional foods, clothing, arts and handicrafts. You will also experience marine life and cayes (aka islands) around Hopkins on your island hopping and snorkel excursion. Then you will take in the jungle on a wonderful hike to a waterfall in Mayflower National Park. This package will give you a great experience of things Belize has to offer.
