Maya Culture

This five-night package will definitely give you some unique Belizean culture coupled with jungle nature at its best.  Your Maya Cultural Tour includes preparing tamales with the Women’s Group of San Antonio Village, touring the grounds to see their self sustainable home system from the growing of crops and the domestication of animals to the production of their own bio-gas, and getting your hands dirty with clay as you are taught how the clay pottery production takes place.  Caracol is Belize’s largest known Maya site with the temple “Caana” rising 42 meters above plaza level.  Over 70 formal tombs have been excavated.  Barton Creek Cave is a stunning Maya ceremonial cave that you will explore by canoe meandering along a river flowing through beautiful cathedral like chambers.  While you are not off touring you can relax and enjoy the pristine grounds of Table Rock Jungle Lodge where hiking, canoeing, tubing, and swimming in the Macal River is all available – not to mention their food is absolutely divine.
